I don’t know much about such products, so this is just some brief observations, and not a techhy review.

I purchased this from Jaycar in Australia for around $400. My use case is something to chuck in the car for a weekend away to charge my devices. For the prepper in me, the key “extra” is that it not only powers different USBs, but also has 230V AC output, which means I can charge or run pretty much anything. There are limits of course. It won’t power a washing machine!

The battery holds 320Wh. This is where I learned something valuable. These units are not efficient at transferring their energy. In theory 320Wh would charge my old iPad (32Wh battery) ten times over. In my testing, it charged it only 4 times, and probably could do it almost 5 times.

Weight was a factor in my choosing. There is pretty much no limit to how big your power station is, but big means heavy.
This one has a nice integrated carry handle and weighs 4.3kg. Not light, but I could run a short distance carrying it – something a prepper should consider. It can also fit in a backpack.

It is a handsome piece of equipment, the brand is well regarded, and it is easy to use. It has an app but you don’t need it.

For my particular potential futures, this can run any tech I need, but probably not anything in the direction of heating or cooling.

If I stay somewhere where I can plug it in every third day, I should be good. I presume it can power Starlink as well? I also bought some portable solar panels for extra redundancy, they plug straight into this.
